I'm not one to brag (yes I am), but that picture looks worthy enough for a magazine cover.

flat and chewy white chocolate chip oreo cookies - the best cookies I've ever had
If you like white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, but you pick out the nuts, this cookie is the cookie for you. To put this in perspective, these are like a more exotic, chewier, flatter, more yummy chocolate chip cookie. The kids will love these, the neighbors will love these, the goldfish will love these, but most importantly, you'll love these because they are so easy!
Out of all of the reasons why this cookie is "the best cookie I've ever had", there is one superior reason why. That is, this cookie has cookies inside each cookie. You're looking at the Chow Creations patented (not really) oreos baked into a cookie cookie making method. Let's get into that.

coming soon - flat and chewy white chocolate chip oreo cookies
These are the chewiest, the flattest, the best cookies I've ever had. They even trump the red wine chocolate cherry cookies of seasons passed.

peanut butter swirled blondies - sweet | salty | creamy
Blondies are delicious as is in their argent luster. However, if you swirl in some peanut butter you're looking at one satiny, chewy, heavenly hell of a treat. Veins of rich peanut butter course through this dense and chewy bar; adding a salty sweet layer of complexity to this, what would otherwise be, mundane bar.

double chocolate cherry cookies - pssst...there's wine in there
First, you want to take a stick of butter out to soften. Whenever you make conventional cookies you need the butter to be soft. When I'm hard pressed for time I just cover the butter and put it in the perfectly warm San Diegan sunshine. News Alert: I'm actually less than 1 mile from the Bernardo Fire that is burning right now. I think I should leave. I know, I try to brag about living in San Diego every post I write. In a medium bowl whisk together all your dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder). Cocoa powder needs to be sifted and or whisked vigilantly to get rid of the lumps.

raspberry jam swirled buns - a surprising experimental success!
Imagine splicing one of these in half and spreading warm butter on its toasty side. Actually, that's a good idea, and it's breakfast, hold on one second...
okay I'm back. If there are any typos it's because I have a roll in my left hand. I love sweet rolls, in fact before this blog I used to make all types of bread, baguettes, brioche, pita (I'll try to put out more yeast based recipes in the future). But I think my favorite in terms of the all important simplicity to reward ratio has to be the humble roll. Not only are these easy to make, but everyone craves over these. Unlike the store bought rolls which are dense and cakey, my buns are perfect - pun intended. These are fluffy, airy, full of flavor, and most of all you'll look like you spent hours to make these. Well actually you did but it's not a lot of work just waiting, I'll get to that below.

flat and chewy chocolate chipped cookies
![]() |
| Howard Taft. I approve of these cookies. In fact my pockets are full of them. |
The best types of chocolate chip cookies are the flat and chewy ones. I even prefer them to be slightly bendable. That's the hallmark for a really good choco-chip. Not too sweet, and dotted with chips of chocolate. This recipe is all that and more. If you follow this recipe to the period, I can guarantee that you will be presented with a batch of the most perfect, classic chocolate chip cookies you have ever tasted and or seen. The ones Ben Franklin, and Howard Taft would be proud of. And you can be sure President Taft had a few cookies in his day.
crunchy chewy orange chocolate cookies - happy national cocoa day!

| Instead of the traditional single bite shot, I decided to go with the more daring double bite. |
To begin I'm going to whisk together my All Purpose (AP) flour, my salt, baking powder, and cocoa powder. You don't need to dirty a sifter when whisking proves just as effective.
chewy coconut bars - the brownie's lesser known cousin
The holidays lend me so much to be grateful for, my family, good health, and coconut bars! Well, less than good health after you eat them. But isn't that what the holidays are about. We suffer and scrape by on atkins and or weight watchers for the better part of the year just so we can eat chewy coconut bars today. This holiday season don't you think your family deserves to indulge a little, and what better way to gain back those 3 pounds than with this scrumptious chow-fection.

chewy fudgy brownies - just as the name suggests
This is a message to every home cook out there. Every time you buy a brownie mix from the supermarket God blinds a puppy. See how cute he is. He can't.
And why would you ever want to buy a brownie mix when brownies are so easy to make yourself! Who knows what kinds of yucky stuff they put in those mixes and in the end they aren't really worth it. If you want to cut a year off your life don't you want to do it in style. Of course you do, you aren't stupid...or are you?
